How to Use Compatibility Mode for Applications in Windows 7

Problem

I just start to use windows 7 system, and I find there are some problems while running some older versions of applications. My friends told me there is a compatibility mode in Windows 7, but I do not know how. Can you teach me?

Solution

  1. Right click on the desired EXE or MSI file, and select "Properties".

  2. Switch to "Compatibility" tab.
  3. You can choose to run the program in Windows XP compatibility mode, or something else.
